They did it again.
It was my fault, of course for forgetting about the candy & dog treats in the soft carrier between the two front seats. We had checked into the Shiloh Inn, unloaded what we needed for the night, & took the poopers for a pit stop. Then we all piled back into the van & headed for an Italian restaurant. It was ~8pm, dark and cool so we didn't worry about them getting too hot while Bud & I had dinner.
Dinner was good & the waitress was really nice. As we left Bud asked the several girls if they wanted to see the "puppies" that the doggie bag was for. About 5 girls trooped out with us.
When we looked in the van windows, we saw that the front seats were littered with the wrappers of a Mounds Bar, Reese Cup, dog treat bag & various napkins. The girls made an appropriate fuss over the poopers as we cleared the wreckage. I MUST remember to put edibles & semi-edibles in the tubbies when they are to be left alone in the car. As they say, "Doctor, doctor, it hurts when I do that." "Well, don't do that."
