No good deed goes unpunished.
As we tooled along I-10 towards Deming, NM I saw a herford calf caught in a barbed wire fence along the road. I told Bud & he tried to cross the median at what looked like a dirt crossing. Before we could get across a Highway Patrolman came along on the other side. Bud flashed the lights to signal him & he crossed the median and pulled up behind us.
Sooooo, Bud got a warning ticket for attempting to cross the median & the cop was going to try to call the rancher about the calf. I don't think he went back to check on it. I hope it makes it.
