I've been grounded for over a week!
Haven't been able to fly because it hasn't been VFR or the plane was booked. Justin is getting a little too popular for my taste! heh He has about 5 students, a few of which have solo'd. So 'Lil EB' is gonna be booked if/when the weather breaks. I'm gonna forget how to fly! He said he'd check me out in a 172 in Kerrville, that might help some.
In the mean time, Bud and I are working on another project, getting a start-up company going with Trade Show materials, marketing collateral, and operations issues. They have a couple of good products that might do really well. I am missing all the nice stuff I had at home, like my Wacom tablet and books for PhotoShop and Freehand. I forget all the nice tricks when I lay-off for a while. My new MacBook Pro is nice, but I need the peripherals and software to be really efficient. So my kid comes to the rescue. As usual, heh.
We are having our mail from CA forwarded while we are in residence here. Well, that was the plan, but the USPS is not keeping their end of the deal. This stack of mail was left on our mail drop. The nice woman who looks after the fishpond collected it and mailed it to us. Just one example. And they returned lots of our mail marked as having Moved! So creditors, friends, etc... aren't sure where we are. Not such a big problem with friends, but when bills get returned and we end up late paying, THAT IS CRIMINAL! We have called the post office, had someone in CA actually go by there several times, but still know we have missed things. Like all our magazines, which, BTW, they said would be forwarded!! We have decided to stop subscribing as we won't get them. What a revoltin' development. And we can't think of how to fix it. The USPS has to get their act together and do what they are supposed to do, [like that's gonna happen]. I guess Martha Stewart and I will just have to part company.
To end on a nice note, we attended a car show in F'burg last weekend and saw this little cutie. This Camaro is one of the first cars I ever really noticed enough to remember what they were. The very first was the '64(?) GTO that Kathy A. got in high school, then this one. This one I wanted. It didn't auction for zillions of dollars, like the beefier 'RS' model did. But then, I don't like the wing on the back or the big scoop on the hood or all the racing stripes. Ruins the lines of the car. See the nice curve of the rear fender? That's also why I like the older 'D' Jags.
Bud says this won't appreciate like the muscle cars, but that's not why I like it. It isn't perfect, I'd rather it be a pale butter yellow with white interior. But it comes as close as I've ever seen. Nice Car.
